On May 12, 2026, the "Bonded R&D + Vocational Training · Industry-Education Integration Innovation Base" jointly built by the Kashgar Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the Bingtuan (XPCC) Division was officially inaugurated. This is the first integrated platform in southern Xinjiang combining bonded R&D with vocational training, marking a leap forward for the Kashgar Bonded Zone from traditional warehousing and logistics to an R&D innovation hub.
The base has pioneered a unique cooperation model of "Outside-Zone Manufacturing + In-Zone R&D Platform + University R&D Team," linking innovation, talent development, industrial production, and cross-border sales in a seamless chain. Companies leverage the bonded zone's "domestic but outside customs" status to import R&D equipment from Central Asia duty-free, conduct research in-zone, then transfer results to outside-zone factories for scaled production, with finished goods exported to Central Asian markets.
The base leverages the bonded R&D platform to partner with Xinjiang Institute of Vocational & Technical University for ongoing hands-on training:
Looking ahead, the Kashgar Bonded Zone and Bingtuan Division will continue deepening collaboration, attracting quality enterprises and institutions in new materials, new energy, and high-end equipment to build the base into a benchmark for bonded R&D and industry-education integration in southern Xinjiang.
